Kya yahi MBA hai.....??

It was a Monday morning, Sid wake up early, and wondering is there anything special about this morning as it was his first day of B-school. So finally after whole lot of drama he has joined a private Institute for his 2 year MBA. “Chalo IIM nahi mila toh koi baat nahi… kuch toh mila hai aur aab pura dum lagana hai”
With the positive attitude he went for his first experience in a B- school. As in a B school generally for the first week an Orientation Program is scheduled where industry experts share their experiences. The day started off well, Sid was enjoying the experiences and thoughts shared by experts. When the experts finished their speech, there were seniors who had planned a late night session for them, where all the seniors and juniors would interact and share their own experiences of the college.
The day went of like that, it was a hectic day and Sid was completely exhausted. He was worried about the next day’s session as it was planned in the same manner.
Next day, Sid was late in getting up and was late to reach the auditorium where the orientation Program was being conducted. At the gate he saw seniors who were questioning for being late. “Ab toh band bajega”
He had no other choice but to answer the questions being asked, so had to go through the sort of ragging questions which he never thought of and had no clue whatsoever. An outbound was also planned for the juniors where they were taken to a resort where they were asked to perform tasks which required team work and thinking. In the process Sid also got to know few of his batch mates. People from diverse backgrounds were there, each with a common objective to conquer the corporate world. “Bada sochne mein kisi ka kya jata hai”

After a week the regular classes were scheduled and days started passing by. New friends were made lots of assignments being given, lots of presentations were required to be made, a hell lot of research needed to be done, computers and laptops were in continuous use. People started working late nights and competing for the top position, and yes girls were also a topic for discussion among the boys and vice versa. Vaisa kabhi kabhi homosexuality pe lecture bhi milta tha, kyoki ye bhi abhi fashion mein hai.

Sid asked himself….Is this….. what you call an MBA life?? Kya isi ka naam MBA hai??

So, if you experience a change in your behavior in terms of thinking process, handling pressures, convincing others with your point by giving logical reasoning, change in the taste of movies may be more of Hollywood stuff, doing things which you never wanted to do in life, may be doing some classes which you find is the greatest torture one could sustain, leaning from your peers then you are at the right place if not, then probably you are doing something else but not an MBA for sure.
