Blind Date ...:P

If you thought that B school students don’t plan a date, then you got it wrong.
Yes a lot of planning, search, connection and selection go behind the date so as to make it a breath-taking one. Once the date is finalised we get a message on our cell phones about the venue and menu (the topic of discussion). Yes don’t get puzzled we generally have blind dates with a Guest from a Corporate World on almost every Saturday. I love to call it “BLIND” because of two reasons.

First, of course going by the core meaning of blind date as we don’t really know the person personally and second if we really get attracted to the guest we start putting up a good show so that we get a chance to marry with the same company as he or she got married.

These dates really help us find the first mate if not the soul mate as we get to know about a lot of things from these guests as to what sort of culture and people they prefer and opportunities within their company. It is a great platform where you are allowed to ask literally any questions. Yes that is what DATE is all about.. huh..!!

Actually ‘Guest Lecturers’ as we traditionally call it also acts as a ‘BUSTER’ to the boring and stereo type classes and allows you to break free. You can share your aspirations and get insights from the guest on how should you get the ‘HEAD START’.

One thing for sure that 99 percent of times you are going to enjoy the lecture as the personalities from the corporate communication are really attractive so it would be hard to take your eyes off them..:P
So if you really have a date with someone on the day of corporate lecture you can give it a miss but for any other reasons it will be foolishness to miss the ‘Glamorous Corporate Date’.
