1 gone, an important 1 to go…

“Fast Track” this is what the first year in a B- school can be termed as. So many things happen so quickly which makes the first year all the more interesting, stressful and obviously “Gyanfull’.

You actually meet lots of people and as the time goes by you finally settle for your set of friends or make a group of very close friends. Lots of classes get scheduled for lots of subjects. The first year is very fast because of the fact that you become the centre of action for the college as you are new to the college and are juniors, so you are expected to deliver on every front right from college activities, fests, social gatherings, corporate interactions, college promotions and of course academics.

So in the first year you actually do what you are asked to do and make about a change in your behaviour and walk the first few steps of Management.

Now that you have been taught to walk the steps of management, you have to make a very important decision in the second year i.e. of deciding on the specialization that you are going to opt. The decision becomes so important because specialisation actually set the tone for your career and the industry you would like to go in.

Based on your specialisation you would be asked to choose the subjects, so the second year would be more focused and to some extent relaxed. One should not make a decision in hurry as it is important to go with your interests and profile. It is advisable to consult a few professors and seniors before deciding on the specialisation and then make your own call.

You will find the second year relaxing yet full of responsibilities as all important placement season takes place in this year.
